BREATHE LA COPD Research Study featured on KABC
BREATHE LA Center for Healthy Lungs medical research at UCLA was featured on a recent KABC Health News report filed by Denise Dador. The study, led by Drs. Chris Cooper and Thomas Storer, documents the value of exercise for those suffering COPD by increasing lung function.
Dr. Cooper, a pulmonologist who specializes in COPD and is a professor at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, along with Dr. Storer, Adjunct Professor of Medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Director of the Exercise Science Laboratory El Camino College, are the co-authors of a book on the same subject.
By partnering with fitness clubs and personal trainers, like Trent Mitchell, the UCLA researchers provide real-world fitness with lung health improvements. If you are interested in taking part in the study or know someone who may be eligible, click here for more info, or see the video on KABC.
