A Beverly Hills High School - BREATHE LA partnership, 4-U-N-I helps teens quit smoking. The program, founded and led by students, provides peer-to-peer suport and tools to quit smoking. The first Beverly Hills High School Chapter of 4-U-N-I ( text = For You And I ) is a student-led, BREATHE LA supported, teen quit smoking program designed to inspire, support, and assist youth in Los Angeles high schools.

Los Angeles - UCLA Extension Student Film maker Micheal Rutherford was awarded first prize for his winning entry in BREATHE LA PSA film contest, "Emily Has Asthma." His 30-second PSA presents an emotionally appealing message on how children can take control of their asthma.

Both houses of Congress acted to override President Bush's veto of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (H.R. 6331) the week of July 20-26 2008. The key addition to the Act adds pulmonary rehabilitation services as a Medicare covered benefit.

Arrive early to make it a day of fun by experiencing a football-style obstacle course under the Staples Center dome, the “Pre-Game Jam” complete with live music, interactive booths, sign making, face painting, giveaways and autographs from players and the L.A.
