BREATHE LA Center for Healthy Lungs / UCLA COPD Study
Breathe California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) Center for Healthy Lungs and UCLA are conducting a lung health research project and are seeking subjects who suffer from mild COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease )
PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR COPD
EXERCISE RESEARCH STUDY
· Male or female, 40-80 years old.
· Diagnosed with mild to moderate COPD
· Minimum smoking history equivalent to 1pack/day for 10 years.
· Must be able to walk on an inclined treadmill for about 5-10 minutes
Study participants will visit the UCLA Exercise Physiology Research Laboratory (Room 52065 Center of Health Sciences) for three visits, approximately 2 hours each and will take part in 24 thirty-minute sessions with personal trainer and nutritional guidance. Participants will be paid up to $150 and parking fees for the 15 week study.
