Pollution and Solutions Salon Series

BREATHE LA announces:

BREATHE LA Pollution & Solutions Salon Series, were an engaging series of panel discussions held in 2008 and continued in 2009 as the expaneded GREEN SALON SERIES. The discussions focused on clean air, the environment and healthy living. Six salons were held in 2008, with each one exploring a different issue or aspect of the environment and how it affects residents, consumers, businesses and other stakeholders. A diversity of opinion, leadership, work experience and background is welcomed and all are invited to the salons-as panelists, moderators, responders and/or audience members. A report of findings will be released in 2009.

  • July 17th - AB 32: What You Need to Know and Why (at the Los Angeles Press Club) ( see the slide show! )
    

  • August 15th - Zero Emissions, Green Footprint (at the California Endowment)) ( see the slide show! )

  • September 18th - AB 32: Climate Change and Southern California: What Science and Technology Have to Offer (at the Los Angeles Community College District)

  • October 23rd - Sinful Behavior: Is Pollution the 8th Deadly Sin? (at the California Endowment)

  • November 20th - Healthful Living and Community Wealth: Clean Air, Lung Disease and the Economy at California State University Northridge, CSUN, Flintridge Room in University Student Union.

  • December- Report of findings

  All locations are readily accessed by public transportation. BREATHE LA encourages you to commute, carpool, bike or walk to Pollution & Solution Salon Series.
