Board Members Recognized for Outstanding Community Efforts
BREATHE LA Board Members continue to accomplish great things for clean air and healthy lungs in Los Angeles County. This month, Ray Gonzales and Anastacio Medina have been recognized for their outstanding efforts to serve BREATHE LA and Los Angeles communities!
BREATHE LA Board Member Ray Gonzales received a Proclamation on October 10, 2008 from the City of Los Angeles upon his retirement after over 40 years as Community Affairs Director/Public Affairs Producer with KTLA-TV. Ray hosted Channel 5’s Pacesetters show for many years and is being recognized for his public service commitment. BREATHE LA programs and services were frequently featured on the show, including a 2007 appearance by BREATHE LA Board Member Dr. David James, who spoke on lung health in fire season.
BREATHE LA Board Member Anastacio Medina was honored as a local hero on October 02, 2008 at Hispanic Heritage Awards ceremony at KCET sponsored by Union Bank of California.
