BREATHE LA programs and services are multi-cultural, multi-disciplined and atuned to the specific challenges of one of the largest and most vibrant metropolitan areas in the world, Los Angeles County. We are proud of our commitment to provide meaningful quality of life improvements to those we serve. Our strong advocacy for clean air and smoke-free environments are among the many ways in which fulfill our promise to protect the breath of life in Los Angeles.

BREATHE LA provides educational programs like O24U our environmental education program, to elementary school children.

BREATHE LA provides lung health awareness materials and provides lung health programs like Asthma Lung Power to middle school children.

House Passes Bill to Green Schools

Despite the failure of the federal Climate Security Act, the U.S. House of Representatives passed an historic education bill to provide $7- billion in grants to help green schools nationwide.

Volunteer Opportunity: BREATHE LA Charity Skydive Jump

Jump: April 26th

Raise: $500 (minimum per jumper)

Benefit: BREATHE LA (O24U, "For Kids Who Care About Clean Air") after school environmental education program, serving low income, inner city youth ages 8 – 14 in highly impacted air pollution areas of LA county.

Asthma Lung Power

BREATHE LA programs educate and empower children.

For children in school break winter and summer daycamp settings, Lung Power is an asthma awareness program that allows children, caregivers and family members to understand asthma.

Through fun exercises and family-friendly ‘homework' activities, the program empowers children and families to take charge of asthma as the best way to control it.

O24U

024U, BREATHE LA's signature environmental education program provides after school enrichment to low income children living in areas impacted by high levels of air pollution in Los Angeles County. Children are engaged in environmental awareness with an after-school young scientist enrichment program. BREATHE LA's O24U program is available for implementation in school, after school, or youth-program settings.
